Kazakhstan, with a total area of 2,717,300 square kilometers (km2), is the second largest country of the former Soviet Union (FSU) after the Russian Federation. It is located in Central Asia, bordered in the northwest and north by the Russian Federation, in the east and southeast by China, in the south by the Kyrgyz Republic and Uzbekistan, and in the southwest by Turkmenistan and the Caspian Sea. For administrative purposes, the country is divided into 19 provinces (oblasts), one of which includes the capital city of Almaty (former Alma-Ata). It declared its independence from the Soviet Union in December 1991.

Four major hydrologic regions can be distinguished in Kazakhstan, depending on the final destination of water: the Arctic Ocean through the Ob River, the Caspian Sea, the Aral Sea and internal lakes, depressions, or deserts.

The World Bank reports that at least 80 countries have water shortages and 2 billion people lack access to clean water. More disturbingly, the World Health Organization has reported that 1 billion people lack enough water to simply meet their basic needs, unfortunately in many countries water is scarce or contaminated.

Pure Aqua provides wide range of filtration and economical solutions based on the Kazakhstan's water resources.

Kazakhstan's main water resources are:

  • Surface water is water from river, lake or fresh water wetland, which can be treated using different methods, such as Ultrafiltration Systems, Brackish Water RO.
  • Desalination can be used for water from ocean, or sea source, which can be treated using Seawater Reverse Osmosis Systems; Desalination Systems.
  • Ground Water or brackish water is from water located in the pore space of soil and rock “Borehole well”, which can be treated using Reverse Osmosis Systems, Chemical Dosing, UV Water Sterilizers.
  • Government water supply, which could have high level of hardness or high level of chlorine, can be treated with Water Softener Systems, Media Water Filters.

Water treatment in Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan is going through a rapid growth in population, which along with increasing usages in land activities and impractical water management, is expected to further exhaust the existing water supplies in the country. Furthermore, climate change will accelerate Jordan’s susceptibility amongst its water distribution and will produce water-borne diseases throughout the population. Pure Aqua supplies first-rate water treatment systems in Kazakhstan for the continuous development of water production.

Pure Aqua manufactures water treatment systems that meet the World Health Organization requirements
