Water Challenges: Since cargo ships are frequently traveling throughout the middle of the sea where there is no source of freshwater for cargo passengers. For this reason, water treatment systems that produce freshwater are highly dependent on-board cargo ships. The clean water produced from these systems can be used for the purposes of drinking, showering, washing, cooking, and for certain operations that require freshwater to run.

Applied Solution: Pure Aqua specializes in seawater reverse osmosis systems and custom water treatment systems. A skid mounted watermaker system was manufactured for a major company in Indonesia. The SW-12K-1380 system was selected from the SWI Series to produce 12,000 GPD at a maximum TDS of 36,000 PPM. Included on the skid is a chemical dosing system comprised of pre & post chlorination, a multimedia filtration system, and the reverse osmosis system. Additionally, a feed pump is included on the water treatment skid which is designed to meet the pressure requirements of the high-pressure booster pump on the RO system.
