Since 1967, when FLUID SYSTEMS developed and patented the first spiral wound element, it has created a line of innovation in the membrane filtration world. Membrane configurations include tubular, spiral wound and hollow fiber. In addition to mainstream treatment applications, the Koch products address many specialty applications including dairy, wine and juice and paint recovery. Of the major membrane manufacturers, they likely have the widest line of products including complete systems for some applications. In the area of reverse osmosis, they have led in the manufacture of 18" diameter spiral wound membrane elements, including the development of handling and loading equipment.
