Industrial Water Softener Systems SF-110F

Product Description

Pure Aqua offers water softeners and water softener systems that can provide clean water for your industrial applications. We have several satisfied clients all around the world that use our water softener solutions.

Pure Aqua's water softeners treat the water by removing hardness using resin. The resin replaces the hardness in the water with salt which is regenerated periodically. The softened water can then pass through an RO system to remove the salt without the risk of scaling. Softeners can be used in a variety of services including: industrial, municipal, and institutional applications.

Water Softener System Capacity

  • The SF-110F series softeners are designed as fully automatic units either with timer or meter control. The timer controller intiates automatic regeneration features a choice of 7 or 12 day calendar wheels. Time of regeneration and length of time for each regeneration cycle are fully adjustable.

  • The metered models start regeneration based on the total gallons used.

  • The FRP mineral tank is engineered for a 150 psi working pressure and is tested to 160 psi.

  • A premium grade sulfanated nonphenolic polystyrene type resin is contained in the mineral tank. The resin will deliver 30,000 grains per cubic foot when brined at a rate of 15 lbs. per cubic foot.

  • The brine tank is a combination of high density polyethylene tank and a brine valve, including an air eliminator valve and a safety brine refill shut off to prevent tank overflow.

  • The under drain utilizes either a hub & lateral or a header & lateral system to evenly distribute water and prevent resin loss, and to insure minimal pressure drop at peak flow rates.

System Specifications:

  • Valve connections: female socket weld, or optional flanged connection

  • Slower flow rate per cu.ft. = better filtration

  • Maximum temperature: 140°F (60°C)

  • Operating pressure: 150 psi (10 bar) for the tank and 100 psi for the overall system

  • Recommended service flow rates/ranges are based on the cu.ft. of the tank/filter bed

  • 2 GPM/cu.ft. = minimum “superior softening" (< 0.15 grain (3 ppm) of hardness leakage), < 2 psi drop

  • 3.5-5 GPM/cu.ft. = average grade softening (up to 1 grain (17 ppm) of hardness leakage), < 5 psi drop

  • Hardness leakage of < 3 ppm (0.2 grains) @ 6 lb. NaCl, and < 1 ppm (0.1 grains) @ 12 lb. NaCl.

  • 5-10 GPM/cu.ft. = utility softening

  • Backwash rates allow 50% bed expansion at 60°F.

  • Peak flow rates are based on 10 GPM/cu.ft. or > 12 psi loss, whichever occurs first

  • Capacity based on 23 grains (400 ppm) of hardness as CaCO3 at 2 to 4 GPM/cu.ft. (2 to 1 CaCO3 to Mg ratio)

Pure Aqua| Commercial Twin Alternating Water Softener Nicaragua 30 GPM 01:42

In July 2013, Pure Aqua designed and manufactured a commercial twin alternating water softener with 30" FRP tanks, 30" brine tank and Aquamatic valves for a major company in Nicaragua. Feed water to the softener was well water. Its purpose was to lower the hardness in the water to drinking standards. Each softener produced 30 GPM and was controlled by a digital stager.
