[custom-specifications]

Water-scarce countries such as Lebanon require a large amount of water distribution systems in order to supply their citizens with adequate amounts of freshwater.

From its initial start-up, the units has been operating accordingly with minimal trouble-shooting. Seawater RO units are dedicated to the massive elimination of large amounts of salt and other contaminants found in seawater. These units employ a popular method known as "reverse osmosis" to help carry out this task. Reverse osmosis involves combating the osmotic pressure of a natural process called "osmosis". Osmosis carries salt naturally through a very fine membrane from a region with low saline concentration to a region with high saline concentration. Its main goal is to gain an equal quantity of saline concentration on both sides. In order to halt this natural process, reverse osmosis is assigned with directing osmosis to the opposite direction via a high pressure pump. This pump applies extreme pressure to the extremely concentrated side of the membrane, forcing salty water across the very fine membrane, only to allow water molecules to flow through while rejecting salt, organics, and other impurities from going through. At the end, purified, potable water emerges on the permeate side while salt, organics, and other impurities are dumped into a drain from the concentrate side.

 [custom-usage]

This seawater reverse osmosis system (SWRO) will be purifying seawater from the Mediterranean Sea in Lebanon at approximately 37,000 PPM TDS and produce 700 GPD of product at 500 PPM TDS. The system includes pre-treatment consisting of multimedia filtration and antiscalant injection as well as post treatment. Additionally, the entire system is controlled by an advanced microprocessor.
