Groundwater Treatment Plant 57000 GPD - Haiti

Product Description

Application: Drinking Water

This is model BW-57K-2480 from our RO-400 Series.

  • RO-400 (BW-57K-2480)
  • 36" FRP Media filtration
  • 42" FRP Activated carbon
  • Antiscalant dosing
  • Dechlorination dosing
  • Pressure Switches/Gauges
  • Flowmeters
  • 3150 Fleck Valves
  • FRP tanks

The filtration units in this system come from the MF-400 series and use the 36” multimedia model 31F36210MM, and 42” Activated carbon filter 31F42250AC. Both filtration units use Fleck 3150 Valves and FRP tanks. These filters are used to remove sediments, turbidity, and suspended particles in water before passing through the RO system. A 12 GPD antiscalant injection system is also part of the pretreatment process, while a De-chlorination system and ORPs monitor are part of post-treatment.

Water Challenges: Haiti is one of the most water-scarce countries in the world and requires a great deal of treatment of their abundant amount of underground brackish water for the purposes of increasing drinking water supplies. Drinking water can be produced to a sufficient degree when there is an incorporation of water treatment solutions such as reverse osmosis that helps to purify these naturally contaminated sources. Media filtration is also used in order to aid the reverse osmosis process through the removal of suspended solids which drive down the performance of RO systems.
