From water-makers to industrial sized seawater purification, we offer a full range of systems. Our salt water purifiers are manufactured to eliminate a large amount of salts and other minerals from seawater using RO. Our equipment does the filtration by employing a high-pressure pump to salty water forcing it through semi-porous membranes denying salts and other organics from flowing through.

Seawater desalination utilizes permeable membranes, which are only tasked to remove dissolved solids while dividing the feed water into purified water and the rejected concentrated salts. The salts and other organics are thrown into the brine stream then flushed into a drain. At the end we have purified water that has 99% less dissolved solids and salts. These seawater reverse osmosis systems are immensely powerful, with the capacity of purifying significantly high TDS water.

Seawater RO systems are usable anywhere from yachts to municipalities. It’s important to choose the correct materials of construction to handle seawater (which is highly corrosive). Pure Aqua, Inc. uses materials such as Duplex SS 2205, SS 2207 or Monel, and SS 904 to guarantee a longer operating life and less maintenance.

Pure Aqua, Inc. has extensive experience in manufacturing water treatment systems that work to desalt seawater all around the world. Our engineers consult for other manufacturers of desalination equipment. Questions & Answers

What is seawater reverse osmosis?

Seawater reverse osmosis systems are designed to decline more than 99% of saline compromised within the feed water. These systems also incorporate a rinsing, chemical purifying apparatus to eliminate sodium chloride, avert scaling, and preserve system performance. There are two fundamental elements within every seawater reverse osmosis system, which are reverse osmosis membranes and high pressure feed pumps. These elements make up the center of any reverse osmosis system and need special consideration and application for successful operation.

Does reverse osmosis remove salt from seawater?

Yes, semipermeable membranes enable the feed water to pass through it at a much higher volume than dissolved salts. Reverse osmosis systems work by applying pressure as freshwater streams through its membranes to filter out the concentrated saline in the feed water, as well as minerals and pollutants. These unwanted impurities are either flushed away, recycled, or processed. Seawater reverse osmosis systems utilize more than one membrane to boost the load of purified water turned out each day.

What are the advantages of seawater treatment?

Seawater treatment has become a vital alternative to the production of pure freshwater throughout the areas of the world without drinkable water. As other sources such as rivers, lakes, wells, and springs have become more exhausted due to excessive extraction, the ocean has provided an abundant supply of available water for human use. Although ocean water consists of elevated levels of salt, and therefore is unable to be utilized for consumption or most other purposes, seawater filters have helped make it practical.

Salt water purifiers are large-scale treatment facilities that purify seawater through the use of reverse osmosis processes, resulting in freshwater. A saltwater filer system will ensure that all unwanted impurities found in large quantities within seawater are removed from the final product of water. For this reason, salt water purifiers have been seen as a major advantage to the water industry as a reliable purification establishment that delivers large quantities of purified water throughout different industries. Many important sectors, such as agriculture and offshore applications now depend on a seawater filter for their supply of clean water.
